Hoosier Housing Authorities Score HUD Support

Public housing authorities in Indiana will receive more than $22.5 million as part of a major federal grant initiative. More than 40 organizations in the state will receive support from the $1.8 billion U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Capital Fund Program.
The program distributes funding annually for housing authorities at the local level for projects involving construction, repairs, renovations or modernizing public housing. HUD says the support is used to help complete a range of work throughout the community, including roof replacements or energy-efficiency upgrades.
