Governor-elect Eric Holcomb has added former Governor Mitch Daniels’ ex-chief of staff to his administration. Earl Goode, who will serve in the same role under Holcomb, currently serves as co-chair of the nonprofit transition team preparing the Lieutenant Governor to take the top state office in January. Holcomb also named Agency Review Leaders, who are tasked with assessing the necessities and progress of executive agencies.

Goode spent six years as chief of Daniels’ staff. Holcomb says "Earl’s steady hand and voice of reason will be a valuable asset to me and our team as we work to take Indiana to the Next Level. His previous roles also include chair of the Indiana Sports Corp., member of the Indiana Motorsports Commission, commissioner of the Indiana Department of Administration and president of the Capitol Improvement Board in Indianapolis.
