A top aide to U.S. Senator Dan Coats has submitted his resignation. Former Indiana Republican Party Chairman Eric Holcomb says he will make a “special announcement” Thursday, which is expected to involve a run for U.S. Senate. He is receiving encouragement from supporters throughout the state to run for Senate.

“I am seeking as much input as I can and want to come to a decision on running for Senate as soon as possible,” Holcomb said.
