Holcomb Names Director of New Office

Governor Eric Holcomb has named Matthew Brown director of the newly-created Office of Administrative Law Proceedings. Brown recently served as the deputy director of operations at the State Personnel Department.
Governor Holcomb signed a bill into law this year that established the Office of Administrative Law Proceedings within the State Personnel Department to support Administrative Law Judges independence.
The legislation states that the director of the office is accountable for administering the office, hiring Administrative Law Judges and assigning the judges to proceedings.
Brown earned a Bachelor’s degree in public affairs from Indiana University and a law degree from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law.
He will start his new role in September.
