A more than century-old former hotel in Terre Haute is slated to hit the auction block this week. The Tribune-Star reports the owner of the 12 Points Hotel is hoping it will be sold to someone who can complete his attempt to redevelop the historic property. Jay Jones has owned the hotel, parking lot and a nearby building since the late 1990s and had previously envisioned his work as part of a major revitalization effort that would make the neighborhood more of a hip restaurant and bar district.

The publication reports the lower floor has been home to several businesses throughout the years, including barber shops variety stores and Tilford's 5 & 10, which closed for good in 2012.

The two-story hotel has five store fronts, and combined with the building next to it, includes around 12,000 square-feet of space.
