Indianapolis-based Healthx has named Sal Gentile chief executive officer. He most recently served as president of the large payer market division for Colorado-based The TriZetto Group Inc. Gentile succeeds Mark Manning, who was announced as CEO earlier this year. December 1, 2014

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Healthx, the leading platform used by healthcare payers to power their digital strategies, announced that its board of directors named Sal Gentile as the company's new chief executive officer, effective today.

Mr. Gentile most recently held the position of President, Large Payer Market at The TriZetto Group, Inc. Since 2011, he has led the sales and client-service teams focused on Blue Cross Blue Shield plans of all types, sizes and geographies, and he has grown the revenue of the business unit to over $500 million. For nine years at the TriZetto Group, he held multiple executive sales positions which included vice president of regional sales, senior vice president of national market sales and president of Blue Cross Blue Shield market. Previously, he was vice president of sales for Diogenes, a middleware software company, and held leadership roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York City and at IBM's Healthcare Business Unit.
