Grand Opening to Toast Incubator
A new entrepreneurship space is set for its grand opening later this month in Avon. Executives say the Central Indiana Innovation Hub @ 46123 is the only space of its kind in Hendricks County.
The hub is located in the Prestwick office complex in Avon.
Former Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership executive director Cinda Kelly Hutchings, who serves as president of the hub’s board of directors says it is designed "to serve the needs of all of West Central Indiana to have a dedicated office space that is available at a low cost that creates the right atmosphere for ideas and concepts to be developed and blossom from ideas to products that serve not only Indiana but our nation and the world."
A ceremony to celebrate the hub is slated for March 15. it will feature Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson and community executives.
The Central Indiana Innovation Hub @ 46123 will be home to startups and entrepreneurs that have "new breakthrough ideas, concepts and quite possibly inventions that are seeking development from the idea stage to reality."
Board member Bill Nicoll says "currently there is no home, no business incubator in all of West Central Indiana and Avon for young people to bring their new ideas that could be inventions that spur innovation and disruption to fruition. Whether it is robotics or the newest smart phone app-the Central Indiana Innovation Hub@ 46123 will be home to all of these things."
