INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Governor Mike Pence today reappointed J. Bradley King as Co-Director of the Election Division within the Office of the Secretary of State of Indiana and named Rudy Yakym III to the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission.
J. Bradley King, of Indianapolis, has been reappointed as Co-Director of the Election Division of the Office of the Secretary of State, where he has served since February 2002. During his time in this role, the Election Division implemented Indiana’s first statewide voter registration system and helped to address election fraud issues. Prior to this position, King served as Election Director for the State of Minnesota and, earlier, as General Counsel for the Indiana State Election Board, now the Election Division. King earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his law degree from the College of William & Mary in Virginia. He will serve a four-year term through December 31, 2018.
Yakym, of Granger, will represent the Third District on the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission, replacing Jean Northernor whose term has expired. The Governor appoints three out of the seven members of the Commission, which recruits and interviews applicants to fill vacancies on the appellate courts and submits candidates to the Governor for appointment. Currently, Yakym works as Senior Vice President for Bradley Company. Yakym, who graduated from Indiana University South Bend, sits on the university’s Alumni Board of Directors. He will serve a three-year term through December 31, 2017.
