Subscriber Benefit
As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowWisconsin-based gener8tor has expanded its seven-week gBETA accelerator to Vigo County. The first gBETA program has officially launched in Terre Haute with five early-stage startup companies that span the food and beverage, subscription box and aerospace sectors.
Leading the effort is Geoff Zentz, who most-recently ran the gBETA Indianapolis and AgBioScience programs, and will serve as the gBETA Terre Haute Director.
The gBETA program will offer resources and guidance to the five startups and help to refine their business models, connect with mentors, gain more customer traction and prepare their pitches. The companies will also pitch 25 or more investors.
Next month, the startups will each give a five-minute pitch to entrepreneurs, mentors, investors and community members for the program’s Pitch Night. The event helps the startups spread information about their efforts while engaging the community and fostering new business in Terre Haute.
“Having gener8tor invest in our community by hosting a gBETA pre-accelerator program is a great investment and addition to our growing startup and innovation ecosystem. Launch Terre Haute is excited to host them in our space bringing value in the form of education and resources to our local and regional entrepreneurs,” said Shelley Klingerman, Executive Director of Launch Terre Haute.
The gBETA program in Terre Haute is sponsored by Launch Terre Haute, who is also hosting the program in their space.
gBETA Terre Haute is the first in gBETA’s expansion across the Hoosier State, with the Fort Wayne program following later this spring.
