Gathering to Sell Manufacturing, Logistics to Interns

Conexus Indiana, the state’s advanced manufacturing and logistics initiative, will showcase those industries Thursday in Indianapolis for 150 interns. The event will discuss job opportunities and the importance of the highly-skilled fields. Conexus Indiana Chief Executive Officer Mark Howell will deliver opening remarks and Indianapolis-based Project Lead The Way President Vince Bertram will serve as keynote speaker.
Thursday’s gathering is part of a two-day summit that includes opportunities for the students to network and tour facilities in central Indiana. Conexus says the summit will focus on the demand for science, technology, engineering and math skills.
The kickoff luncheon will run from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Indiana State Museum’s Great Hall in Indianapolis.
