Franklin College Makes Board Changes

The Franklin College Board of Trustees has made two membership changes. The board has elected a new designated community trustee and transitioned another member to honorary trustee status for life.
Indianapolis-based Monarch Beverage Senior Vice President Natalie Roberts will serve as community trustee. The 1994 Franklin College graduate joined Monarch Beverage as an intern that year, and has held several leadership positions with the company. She serves on other boards including the Indiana Recycling Coalition and the 500 Festival.
Constance Richardson Van Valer, who has served on the board since 1999, has transitioned to Franklin College Honorary Trustee status for life. Van Valer graduated in 1959 and is the daughter of the school’s 10th president. She specialized in emergency medicine until her retirement in 2005.
Franklin College’s board is made up of 40 elected voting members, each serving a three-year term.
