The Star Press reports Dan and Barb Canan have donated a building to the organization, which currently operates out of coworking space CO:LAB in the city’s downtown.
The donation is in memory of Dan Canan’s parents, James and Kay Canan.
Future Choices provides services for individuals with disabilities to help prepare and support them for independent living. The organization serves Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Howard, Madison, Randolph and Tipton counties.
Jared Quarles, assistant director of Future Choices, told the Star Press Future Choices will occupy the building when the lease runs out for the current tenants, Open Door Health Services, which has a lease into next year for its family planning clinic there.
Quarles told the publication Future Choices officials were “ecstatic” about the gift from the Canan family.
