FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) is making progress on a $15-$25 million distribution center in St. Joseph County. The South Bend Tribune reports the company expects the facility to be complete next May and employ hundreds of workers. FedEx Ground spokesman David Westrick says employees from a nearby existing operation will relocate to the 200,000-square-foot facility.

It's part of a $1.2 billion, company-wide growth initiative to meet demand.

There are more than 70 expansions going on throughout the country.
