The bi-partisan legislation now heads to the Senate, where it will be sponsored by President Pro Tem David Long (R-16) and Minority Leader Tim Lanane (D-25). The bill unanimously cleared its House committee, where it was presented by House Speaker Brian Bosma (R-88). Minority Leader Scott Pelath (D-9) joined Bosma, Representatives Greg Steuerwald (R-40) and Clyde Kersey (D-43) as co-authors of the legislation.
