Engineering Firm Plans to Relocate, Grow

Indianapolis-based Patriot Engineering and Environmental Inc. is planning to move its headquarters. The company plans to invest around $500,000 into improvements and equipment at a facility that previously housed Stanley Security. Patriot says the move would help create 30 jobs by 2020.
The company says it would also retain 60 jobs as a result of the relocation from its current facility in Lawrence Township. Patriot says it has outgrown its operations and is seeking preliminary tax abatement approval from the Metropolitan Development Commission in Indianapolis to help with the move.
Much of the investment would go toward research and development equipment, most notably soil testing equipment. The company says it has 10 satellite offices in 10 central U.S. state.
If the commission grants preliminary approval Wednesday, the request would face the full commission January 6 for a final vote.
