Carmel-based Eleven Fifty Academy has announced a partnership with Ivy Tech Community College. Students taking a 9-week immersive coding course at the nonprofit academy can apply credits earned during the course toward certain degrees or certificates at Ivy Tech.

For completing the course, Eleven Fifty students can receive 12 credit hours for Ivy Tech software development and other computing and informatics programs.

The classes involved in the partnership will be held at the Eleven Fifty headquarters and its new location in Launch Fishers. Eleven Fifty President John Qualls says "our partnership with Ivy Tech Community College creates a unique opportunity for their students, giving them an advantage in the workforce. Eleven Fifty Academy is grateful and proud to offer students the opportunity to earn credits with Ivy Tech."

Ivy Tech Central Indiana Chancellor Kathleen Lee says "the computing and informatics industry is growing quickly in Central Indiana. This partnership between Ivy Tech and Eleven Fifty Academy opens doors for these students, allowing them to get a head start on a degree in this emerging field."
