The funds from Alan and Peggy Scantland will support Earlham’s Summer Research Fund, student conference travel, a fund for students who are academically sound but financially struggling and co-curricular experience integration programs.
Alan says "Peg and I both believe in Earlham. We are very impressed by the educational opportunities it is offering to students. Both of us benefited from tremendous opportunities when we were Earlham students, and we are happy to be able to support a variety of important initiatives at the College."
Last spring, the Scantlands gave $7.5 million to Earlham to establish The EPIC Advantage, a program that involves funding internships, projects or research experiences for students.
