An Indianapolis-based developer is planning a $20 million apartment complex in Fort Wayne. The Journal Gazettereports Kendall Property Group expects the more than 200 apartments to be complete by 2016. The proposal is expected to be discussed next month by the Allen County Plan Commission. The complex will be targeted toward young professionals.

Vice President of Development J.R. Kendall tells the newspaper the company believes Fort Wayne has strong job creation and an increasing population.

Canal Flats still needs a rezoning approval, which will be examined by the plan commission July 10.
