Details of Indy Hotel Closure Emerge
The Indianapolis Hilton North says its previously-announced closure will result in the loss of nearly 50 jobs. The move is to make way for redevelopment of the Community Health Network Foundation-owned property. In a letter to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the general manager anticipates the hotel will shut down near the end of December.
In September, the foundation announced the purchased the Hilton, along with plans to demolish it and redevelop the nearly nine-acre site.
The property sits near Community Hospital North, which Community Health Network officials say is “prime” real estate located in “one of the fastest-growing markets in the nation.”
