Columbus-based Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) has named Stan Woszczynski Vice President-Chief Manufacturing Officer. He has been with the company since 1988 and most recently served as Vice President-Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

Columbus, Ind. — Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced that Stan Woszczynski has been named Vice President – Chief Manufacturing Officer. Stan's new role was effective Dec. 1.

Woszczynski will also assume additional leadership responsibilities as a member of the Cummins Supply Chain Transformation Leadership Team.

“As we continue the Supply Chain transformation journey, Manufacturing has a significant role in accelerating our focus on manufacturing process excellence and standardization,” said Lisa Yoder, Vice President, Corporate Supply Chain. “Stan's experience and track record of success in manufacturing and management will allow us to continue making significant supply chain improvements. I am delighted to have Stan in this role.”

“I am honored and excited for the recent appointment,” said Woszczynski. “I have a passion for manufacturing and have worked in the function for over 33 years. I find that manufacturing serves a critical role in our efforts to transform our supply chains and is unique in that it brings together a mix of people, products and processes to serve customers.”

In his new role Woszczynski will be responsible for leading several areas within Cummins including:

•    Manufacturing strategy

•    Manufacturing operational and functional excellence

•    Health and safety

•    Environmental

•    Advanced manufacturing

•    Manufacturing engineering and manufacturing systems

Woszczynski joined Cummins in 1988 to manage facilities. Since then, he has held a variety of leadership positions including Business Manager, Plant Manager [Atlas, Cummins Industrial Center (now Seymour Engine Plant) and Cummins MidRange Engine Plant], Vice President – MidRange Manufacturing and most recently Vice President – Supply Chain and Manufacturing – HMLD.

Woszczynski is a founding member of the Manufacturing Leadership Board of the Associations Corporate Executive Board consortium and is an active director for the Komatsu Cummins Engine Company (KCEC) board, Indiana Automotive Council and the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Varsity “R” Club.

He earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rose Hulman, his master’s degree in materials engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Stan is a native Hoosier who was born and raised in East Chicago, Ind., USA. He and his wife Laura have two grown children.
