COLUMBUS, IND. – Today, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) promoted Jason MacLean Vice President, Power Generation Business Unit (PGBU) Supply Chain. In his new role, MacLean will also become an officer of the Company.
MacLean will continue to lead all functions within supply chain within the Power Generation Business Unit including global manufacturing of generator sets and alternators in 16 locations, purchasing, logistics, order management, planning and Supply Chain HSE and quality.

The Cummins Power Generation Business Unit is one of four primary business units of Cummins Inc. and is a global leader dedicated to increasing the availability and reliability of electric power around the world. MacLean joined Cummins in early 2006 as part of the Distribution Business Unit. He then moved to Power Generation as Director of Global Supply Chain and Service before serving as Executive Director of Corporate Supply Chain for all of Cummins. In 2010, MacLean returned to the Power Generation business where he has been overseeing the development and execution of supply chain strategy across business units and functions.
In 2012, MacLean was selected as one of 24 Cummins senior leaders to participate in the fourth Executive Leadership Development class, a Cummins leadership development program.
Prior to joining Cummins, MacLean held senior operations roles at Borders Group and startup uBid.com. MacLean also served as a consultant for Bain and Company in both California and Europe.
MacLean earned an MBA in Finance and a Masters in International Studies in Russian from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and Lauder Institute, and he received a Bachelor’s degree in English and Russian from the University of Pennsylvania.
MacLean and his family reside in Indianapolis.
