Cummins Inks U.S. Military Deal
Cummins says its V903 engine is a commercial product adapted for military use.

The contract is expected to be complete by the end of next year. The facilities in Columbus and Seymour will handle the work involved in the deal. The V903 is a V8 engine for the defense industry that cranks out 800 horsepower.
Earlier this year, Cummins celebrated the grand opening of its $70 million Seymour Technical Center, which houses 400 employees. Jackson County is home to the manufacturer’s High-Horsepower Engine business. Cummins has invested big in Seymour in recent years, including new warehouses, additional engineering and production test cells, office space, a cylinder block line and a new aftertreatment component manufacturing facility.
