County Investigating Death at Steel Dynamics Facility

Whitley County officials are investigating a fatal industrial accident at a Steel Dynamics Inc. (Nasdaq: STLD) operation in Columbia City. The coroner's office says the cause of Jeffery Flory's death will be determined following an autopsy. August 6, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. – On Monday, August 5, 2013, at approximately 10:30pm, the Whitley County Coroner's Office investigated a fatal industrial accident at Steel Dynamics Inc. 2800 S 800 E Columbia City. The deceased has been identified as Jeffery A Flory, age 44, of Albion, Indiana. Complete cause and manner of death to be determined pending autopsy. The Coroner's Office was assisted by the Indiana State Police, Whitley County Sheriffs Department and Union Township Fire Department.
