Construction to Resume at Tunnel Site

Citizens Energy Group says construction at the Deep Rock Tunnel Connector site in Indianapolis will resume Thursday. The announcement comes as the investigation continues into last week's death of a laborer who was working on the project.

Construction at the Deep Rock Tunnel Connector job site will resume tomorrow, June 19. Although IOSHA never officially closed the site, SKJV and Citizens Energy Group shut work down on Friday, June 13 out of respect to the Simpson family and the crews, to permit investigation of the accident, and to ensure everyone’s safety. Safety remains the top priority at the Deep Rock Tunnel Connector job site. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to Mr. Simpson’s family, friends and those who knew and worked with him on this project.
