The ribbon will be cut today on a significant healthcare project on the east side of Indianapolis. Mayor Greg Ballard will join executives from Community Health Network to celebrate completion of the $2.1 million Emerson Avenue Corridor Gateway Project. Officials say the project will significantly improve Emerson Avenue between 16th Street and 21st Streets and is another example of Community’s commitment to the city’s east side, where the health system launched in 1956.

Last week, Community announced plans for approximately $235 million in improvements in Indianapolis, including $175 million for a new hospital on the east side campus.
