Committee Clears State Fair Alcohol Bill
A proposal to allow alcohol sales during the Indiana State Fair has passed through the House Public Policy Committee. The bill, which has already been approved by the Senate, now goes to the full House. State Fair officials believe alcohol sales, which have been banned since 1947, could provide an initial revenue stream of $200,000.
This year's fair marks “The Year of the Coliseum” and runs August 1-17.
