The city of Columbus has approved tax abatement for an $11 million expansion by CyberMetrix Inc. The company is planning to build one of the largest engine testing facilities of its kind in the country. Chief Executive Officer Christine Mulholland said prior to the decision that if the company did not receive approval, it would have to consider expanding at an operation in Virginia.

CyberMetrix has around 40 Bartholomew County workers.

Plans call for construction on the testing “cell” to begin this year and be complete in February.
