The Capital Improvement Board in Indianapolis is set to award contracts Wednesday for improvements to the Indiana Pacers locker rooms at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The 15 year-old venue is undergoing a total of $27 million in upgrades. The full project includes new large LED screens in several common areas, concession stand improvements, a new Zamboni machine and a refurbished Fever locker room.

Much of the work got underway in February.

In 2013, the city and the CIB approved $160 million in tax dollars to cover operations and improvements, and extend the Pacers' stay at the fieldhouse for more than a dozen additional years.
