News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, IND., – Christel House Academy is pleased to announce it will open Christel House Academy West in time for the 2014-2015 school year.

Christel House Academy West will open on the old Central State Hospital grounds on the near Westside in August 2014. Located at Washington and Tibbs in Indianapolis, the charter school will initially serve students K-2 and plans to be an anchor in the new Central Greens development.

“The addition of this new public charter school will allow Christel House to reach another high-needs area in Indianapolis and give quality education options to at-risk children,” says Carey Dahncke, director and chief academic officer, Christel House Academy. “Our small school approach keeps students and parents connected to teachers,” adds Dahncke.

Under the award-winning arm of Chistel House Academy, Christel House Academy West is authorized by the Mayor of Indianapolis to serve urban students. For more information, please visit
