The West Side Chamber of Commerce in Indianapolis will hold its first “Job Fair-aganza” next month at the Pike Performing Arts Center at Pike High School. Job seekers will be able to meet with more than 20 employers at the event.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Job seekers can meet with more than 20 potential employers at the first West Side Chamber of Commerce Job Fair-aganza Wednesday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pike Performing Arts Center, (http://www.pikepac.org/) Pike High School, 6701 Zionsville Road.

The Job Fair-aganza is presented as a free public service for employers and job seekers by the West Side Chamber of Commerce (www.westsidechamber.biz).

“The West Side Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people in our community and helping make west side businesses more successful. Helping people become employed does both,” said Will Lance, project manager, a Chamber board member and assistant general manager of the Wingate by Wyndham Northwest.

“We will have numerous jobs from management to call centers, package handling, installation to sales,” Lance said. “This gives job seekers many opportunities to find a new job, a new career and maybe a new life.” All they have to do is come with a good attitude, bring an up-to-date resume and dress in business casual or professional business attire,” he said.

Companies committed to participate include Lowes Home Improvement, Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, Lowes Call Center, Walmart, Coca-Cola, Trueblue Staffing, Aero Technologies, FedEx, Penske Logistics, Kinetisource, Job Corps of Indiana, AAA Motor Club, Olivet Nazarene University, MSD of Wayne Township, MSD of Pike Township, Lids, State Farm – Wanda Bell Brown Agency, YRC Freight Trucking, Speedway LLC; American Income Life, Companion Care Company, 71st Street Kroger, West Side Chamber of Commerce, Heritage Environmental and Specialty Bakery. “We expect even more to come on board as the Job Fair-aganza gets closer,” Lance said.
