A manufacturer in LaPorte is planning to cease operations. Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report around 120 employees will be affected by the closing of the ATI Castings facility. In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Pennsylvania-based Allegheny Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ATI), says it is winding down iron castings operations after being unable to sell the business.
