Bona Vista Programs Inc. is planning a $1 million housing development in Kokomo. Laguna Commons will also provide educational sessions, health and wellness programs and recreational activities for people with disabilities. Bona Vista says funding for the project includes a $500,000 grant from the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority, a $500,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis.

The nonprofit says it chose the location because it is safe and convenient for residents seeking work in the community or at Bona Vista Industries. The project marks Bona Vista's second housing development.
