The new president of Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corp. says fans can expect “noticeable” changes at the track next year. Doug Boles says it is a “great challenge” to create a balance between increasing revenue and keeping events affordable for the thousands of fans emotionally invested in the historic venue. During an appearance this weekend on Inside INdiana Business Television, Boles says “there are a lot of job ones.” As Boles shifts into the position of overseeing the daily operations at the track, Hulman and & Co. President and Chief Financial Officer Jeff Belskus is tackling another huge responsibility.

He is handling how the $100 million in funding approved by the State Legislature will be used. That could include lights for night racing and other upgrades to the 104-year old venue.

Boles believes some details on how that plan is coming together should be available in September or October.
