A city-county council committee in Indianapolis has approved up to $18.5 million in tax incentives for a major expansion of the Angie's List Inc. (Nasdaq: ANGI) headquarters. The measure could return to the full council by the end of the month. Earlier this year, it was approved in committee and sent to the full council. The measure was then was sent back to the Metropolitan Economic Development Committee before receiving a full council vote.

Angie's List says the plan involves 1,000 new and relocated jobs to the city by 2019.

It calls for the online service review company to use the funding to help acquire and improve a former Ford plant on the city's near east side, as well as build a multi-story parking garage and upgrade streetscaping and some surrounding infrastructure.
