News Release

West Lafayette, Ind. — A new Amazon@Purdue customer order pickup and drop-off location will open on campus Monday (May 18) on the main floor of Purdue Memorial Union.

In time for the summer session, students and faculty now will have two locations on campus to receive textbooks and other college essentials.

“Since the February launch of Amazon@Purdue in the Krach Leadership Center, our first-ever pickup and drop-off location, the response from Purdue students and faculty has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Ripley MacDonald, director of Amazon student programs. “We're excited to be opening this second location and continuing our commitment to offer students a convenient, secure place to pick up their stuff during times that work with their busy schedules.”

Starting this summer, all Purdue students are eligible for Free One-Day Shipping on Purdue textbooks shipped to the West Lafayette campus area. Amazon Student and Amazon Prime members at Purdue will continue to get Free One-Day Pickup on other items when shipped to either of the Amazon@Purdue locations.

The Amazon@Purdue locations are an extension of a collaboration announced by Purdue and Amazon last August, in which Amazon will return to Purdue a percentage of eligible sales from customers who have ordered through purdue.amazon.com, including sales to faculty, staff and alumni. Purdue will use the proceeds for its student affordability and accessibility initiatives.

During the summer session, both locations will be open seven days a week with summer hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and noon to 6 p.m. weekends.
