The IAA says it has pulled the issue from this week’s agenda in order to continue conversations about the project.
The IAA will hold its monthly meeting Friday. The authority says it decided to delay the vote again in order to continue conversations about the project. "The Indianapolis Airport Authority has the clear and honorable responsibility to be a good steward to our community. The airport continues to listen to the community’s input and will always put our community first."
Last month, the Athletes Business Network unveiled the proposal for the site, which includes a 130-acre sports/mixed-use campus and brain health center. The ABN said if approved, the project could create up to 3,000 jobs.
The IAA was originally scheduled to vote on the proposal just days after it was announced. The board then decided to delay the vote "so that we can further process community feedback and have additional conversations."
