Cabela's, the World's Foremost Outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, was born somewhat inadvertently in 1961 when Dick Cabela came up with a plan to sell fishing flies he purchased while at a furniture show in Chicago. GO

Greenwood this week landed the second Cabela's retail store in the state. The project, located on part of 100 acres near I-65 and County Line Road, will be part of a much larger tourism-themed development that will include a hotel, water park and more commercial and retail development. Gerry Dick learns more about the economic impact of this announcement from R.
