16 Tech Names Chief Financial Officer
The 16 Tech Community Corp. has hired Robert Herzog as chief financial officer. Herzog will lead financial operations for the 16 Tech Innovation District on the near west side of downtown Indianapolis. The district is a mixed-use development designed to attract advanced industries and talent to the region.
Herzog previously served in executive roles in corporate, professional services sectors and in higher education. He’s a board member of Summer Stock Stage and The District Theatre, and has also served as a past board member of Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, Indianapolis Public Library Foundation and the Indianapolis Arts Council.
“Having Robert on board is another positive step for the 16 Tech Innovation District,” said Bob Coy, president and CEO of 16 Tech. “Robert joins our team during a time of significant momentum, and he will play an important role in our mission to drive Indiana to the next level of global innovation leadership.”
The $30 million, 120,000 square foot, 5-story building on the west side of downtown Indianapolis will be the headquarters for Indiana Biosciences Research Institute, Central Indiana Corporate Partnership and IU School of Medicine researchers at the Indiana Center for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering. Ground was broke in December 2018 and construction of Innovation Building 1 is expected to be done in May 2020. Click here for more information.
