Indiana Airports Receive Grants
Dozens of Indiana airports have received federal funding in the form of infrastructure grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation. A total of 232 airports in 43 states were awarded $478 million in grants.
This round is the fourth allotment from a total of $3.18 billion in Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program funding.
Indiana cities/airports receiving funding:
- Auburn – $518,220 to extend runway
- Bloomington – $1.16 million to rehabilitate taxiway
- Columbus – $360,000 to update airport master plan
- Connersville – $982,300 to rehabilitate runway
- Crawfordsville – $150,000 to build a terminal building
- Delphi – $150,000 to build building
- Elkhart – $1.125 million to install perimeter fencing
- Evansville – $8.9 million to rehabilitate apron
- Fishers – $300,000 to install perimeter fencing
- Goshen – $540,000 to rehabilitate taxiway
- Greencastle – $385,553 to install fencing
- Eagle Creek Airport – $150,000 to install fencing
- State of Indiana – $720,265 to update system plan
- Indianapolis downtown – $77,966 to build fuel farm
- Indianapolis combined 4 grants – $5.2 million for lighting, security, rehabilitate taxiway and apron
- Jeffersonville – $683,100 to extend runway
- Kendalville – $150,000 to build building
- Knox – $576,288 to extend runway
- LaPorte – $945,100 to rehabilitate runway and apron
- Logansport – $823,500 to rehabilitate runway lighting
- Madison – $1.093 million to install perimeter fencing
- Marion – $750,000 to build taxiway
- McCordsville – $360,000 to update master plan
- North Vernon – $144,090 to build taxiway
- Paoli – $2.921 million to extend runway
- Peru – $35,000 to rehabilitate runway lighting
- Salem – $150,000 to build runway
- Seymour – $455,717 to rehabilitate taxiway
- Shelbyville – $1.469 million to rehabilitate runway
- Tell City – $71,820 to rehabilitate runway lighting
- Winimac – $63,000 to rehabilitate runway lighting
