Sun King Scores Big At Open Beer Championships

The brand was named Grand National Champion at the event and also took the top spot on the organization’s Top 10 Breweries list.
The judges select a winner and give out medals based on a blind taste test. The final round of judging was held at the Grandfather’s Barn in Oxford, Ohio.
Sun King earned the title of Grand National Champion after winning three gold medals and three silver medals. Sun King’s gold medal winning beers included Pachanga, Cherry Busey Belgian Fruit Beer and Midnight Choir Wild Beer.
Sun King’s silver medal winners were Shadow Proof Imperial Stout, Barrel Aged Proof and Brandy Barrel Aged Touched by an Angel.
The U.S. Open Beer Championships says it judges more beer styles than any other competition in the world.
