Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Chief Bryan Roach has announced new staff appointments: Craig McCartt (pictured), deputy chief of the Criminal Investigations Division; Jerry Leary (pictured), East District commander and Karen Arnett day shift captain for East District. McCartt most recently served as East District commander. He is a 24-year veteran of IMPD and recent graduate of the FBI National Academy. Leary most recently served as East District day shift captain and has been with the department since 1995. Arnett most recently served as East District night watch captain. She has been with the department for more than three decades.
