Ivy Tech Names Chief Technology Officer
Ivy Tech Community College has named Thomas Riebe chief technology officer. Riebe previously served as associate vice president of information security and has held the role of interim chief technology officer since January.
Riebe will be responsible for planning and leadership of the implementation and improvement of the college’s technologies.
Riebe has worked for Ivy Tech since 2003, in a variety of roles. He began as senior system engineer/Oracle DBA where he served as the primary UNIX/Linux systems administrator and Oracle DBA. He has also served as manager of applications infrastructure, director of infrastructure services and executive director of statewide IT operations.
Before his career with Ivy Tech, Riebe worked at Conseco Capital Management in Carmel and Bradford Scott Data Corp. in Indianapolis.
“We continually focus on optimizing all steps of the student journey through information technology. The innovative delivery of technology solutions and services is imperative for our students, faculty and staff,” said Ivy Tech chief information officer Matt Etchison in a news release. “We are thrilled Thomas is going to serve and lead our team as chief technology offer. Additionally, Thomas’ experience leading the College’s efforts in IT security and risk management has been incredibly insightful and beneficial.”
Riebe earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Ball State University.
