Purdue University Fort Wayne has named Robin Newman dean of students. Newman was previously director of the university’s Center for Women and Returning Adults.

Newman also served as associate dean of students from 2008 to 2019.

Newman earned her master’s degree in education in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University and a bachelor’s degree in social work from Indiana State University.

“I am confident Robin’s experience at Purdue Fort Wayne, her formal student development education and background, and her immense heart for students is the perfect combination for success,” said Kristina Creager, vice chancellor for student affairs, in a news release. “She is a champion for student success, a model teammate, and someone who leads by example. I am privileged to serve alongside her.”

Newman will step into her new role in July.
