Philosophy, Politics, and Economics is supported by an endowment from Wabash Trustee Tom Walsh and his wife Anne.
The endowment is part of the $225 million Giant Steps Campaign, which Wabash College says is the “largest comprehensive fund-raising campaign in the school’s history.”
The donation will fund a professorship, the Tom and Anne Walsh Professor of Philosophy, Politics and Economics, which will be held by Dr. Nicholas Snow. Snow will come from Indiana University in July.
“As important as philosophy, politics, and economics are individually,” Anne Walsh said in a news release, “the integrated study of these disciplines provides a new generation of leaders with a much richer understanding of the interconnectedness of today’s world, and the institutions, systems of government, and theories and policies that shape it.”
