Subscribe NowGen Con has unveiled the more than 40 game stores participating in the inaugural Pop-Up Gen Con initiative. Organizers say the effort aims to bring the convention experience to those who are unable to attend the annual event in downtown Indianapolis.
Plans for the initiative were first announced earlier this month. The participating stores will have special activations as the convention takes place August 1-4, giving attendees the ability to test out new games before they are released and pre-order games being released at the convention before they hit the market.
Registration for Pop-Up Gen Con is "coming soon," according to organizers. The $5 registration will include a commemorative badge and exclusive Gen Con pin.
