ACCUS is a group that advocates for the top six U.S. racing sanctioning bodies: IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, NHRA, SCCA, and USAC.
Through local representatives, ACCUS also acts as a watchdog for national legislation that may affect the U.S. motorsports industry.
“Being located in the Indianapolis area makes all the sense in the world,” said ACCUS President, George Silbermann in a news release. “It is synonymous with auto racing, headquarters for two of the ACCUS clubs, and home to some of the biggest events in the sport. In addition, all ACCUS clubs have substantial business endeavors and/or relationships here. From the earliest discussions, ACCUS was warmly welcomed by state and local officials. We are proud to now be part of the Indy community.”
