FORT WAYNE -

Party supply company Shindigz has opened its new corporate headquarters in downtown Fort Wayne. The historic building on the corner of Wayne and Harrison streets is now home to 50 employees, with dozens more expected to be added later.

“We are thrilled to officially open Shindigz Place and to start calling downtown Fort Wayne home,” said Dan Haight, CEO of Shindigz. “We consider ourselves a 93-year-old design and technology startup, meaning it’s vitally important we’re providing current and prospective employees a rewarding career in a work environment that’s modern, fun and engaging. Shindigz Place helps strengthen our position as a career destination.”

The company also presented donations to five companies focused on the city's urban core, with checks of $1,926 each, symbolizing the year the company was founded, to Boys and Girls Club of Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne's Downtown Improvement District, Riverfront Fort Wayne, Vincent Village, Inc. and Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne.

The company's manufacturing and fulfillment operations remain in South Whitley.
