Through a donation from alumni Scott and Beth Daley Ullem, the farm was able to relocate closer to DePauw’s Greencastle campus and can now work more closely with the liberal arts school.
The new 12-acre site features crop fields and a greenhouse. A multi-purpose center for sustainability is planned for teaching and educational resources, food preparation and processing and farm outreach programming.
The university says the farm will act as "a laboratory for scientific and entrepreneurial experimentation where students, professors and community members — within and beyond DePauw — develop viable models for solutions that conserve natural resources."
