IU Innovation Office Executive Director Steps Down
Indiana University has announced Bill Brizzard, executive director of the IU Innovation and Commercialization Office, is resigning effective May 31. Karen White has been tapped to perform executive director duties during a nationwide search to fill the permanent position.
The university says Brizzard will seek other opportunities in St. Louis.
White currently coordinates programs at IUPUI that work to enhance student research practices and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining IU, White was the assistant director for technology transfer at the Purdue Research Foundation.
"Indiana University is in a strong position regarding innovation and commercialization," White said in a news release. "I’m honored to fill this interim position and look forward to building on the excellent relationships the ICO office has created with university faculty and staff."
