IU Media School Names Director of Journalism Center

Indiana University has named Kathleen Johnston the founding director of the Michael Arnolt Center for Investigative Journalism on the university's Bloomington campus. She is a 30-year veteran of investigative journalism and a Media School visiting professor of practice.

      Indianapolis-based Hopebridge LLC is continuing its growth efforts in Indiana. The behavioral health services provider has announced plans to expand with locations in Fishers and Columbus, which are expected to open this summer and create more than 110 jobs.       Military Contract Work To Be Done in Indiana

      Virginia-based Science Applications International Corp. has been awarded a nearly $42 million military contract for work on gun and guided missile systems.       U.S. Steel to Idle Blast Furnace at Gary Works

      U.S. Steel has released plans to idle a blast furnace at Gary Works. Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report than an internal memo at the plant said that there would be “no immediate impact on employment levels at the mill.” The mill has reportedly planned to idle the furnace temporarily as a response to reduced production capacity amid falling steel prices, orders and revenue.
